Description Terisa Swordsong is the daughter in a "long" line of Neko protection officers. Primarily responsible for the protection of Elders on the home planet, Terisa chose to enter Starfleet. She carries with her a strong sense of justice, and after being held prisoner by the Cardassians she is unable to speak except for her people's telepathy or the communication PADD she keeps holstered. Always carries a PADD with her to communicate. Can send short messages using telepathy. Still has the scar from the Cardassians. She refused treatment to heal it or to replace her stolen voice. Prefers to use her claws as opposed to any weapon. Prefers to be called Terisa Swordsong but has no real objections when her other names are used. With the help of an engineer at the Academy, Terisa was able to put together an advanced training program, and levelling system. History Terisa lived and grew up on the Neko home planet of Wallach IX. From an early age she had dreamed of exploring the stars. Her parents were supportive and raised her so that she could join Starfleet. On her thirteenth birthday she was taken to an elder for her face naming ceremony. She was given the name Swordsong because of her beautiful and clear voice as well as her overwhelming sense of justice. Since she had always had a strong sense of justice and order Terisa Swordsong decided on a career as a Starfleet security officer. She did not have any problems in the academy except for the first year regulations instructor. She bypassed the man because she was limited in what she could do with her hair. The instructor hated the idea but she did not let him get to her. Onboard the USS Artemis she was taken captive by Cardassians when the ship was destroyed. She spent only a week with them but in that time she received their usual treatment of prisoners. They bullied her for information she did not have, and when they realised it, they decided that she spoke too much, protesting her captivity. They removed her Larynx so that she would not make so much noise. In the process they left a sloppy white scar along her throat.
