Description Rafael is often misjudged on first sight due to his appearance and ease among teen-agers of all species. He is often thought of as “one of the gang” until he is approached and his authority made abundantly clear. He listens well and chooses his words with care. A deep thinker, he is often seen as being reserved, calm, and level headed under all sorts of pressure. Patience is one of his leading characteristics, but few realize that though the fuse be long, once lit it will eventually burn down to the quick. Rafael enjoys the study of ancient martial arts and the use of such weaponry. Holodeck play is a rare treat, but admittedly a favorite pastime. He believes in keeping physically fit and alert. The acquisition of knowledge is an ongoing pursuit. When he is not managing Starr Tau Orphanage or working out, he is seen reading all manner of material. (Watch out for Trivia...)
