History Born on Betazed in 2339 to Amie and Ronaldo Cederick, Amelia was the only child. She had brothers and sisters, but they were only animals. Hence, she has always had a passion for animals. She exceled in school, but she was constantly taunted by the other children as she loved to study. She was one who would study over anything else. What made studying so bad for her was that she could always "hear" what her parents were thinking about her, and it really hurt her emotionally. At the age of 13, she ran away from home, but it did not take long for anyone to find her, as she was hit by a car. After her recovery from the resulting brain injury, she once again threw herself into studying. At the age of 18, she applied and was accepted into Betazed School of Medicine, majoring and graduated early three years later in the top 10 percent of her class. She threw herself into private practice for 3 years before deciding to join Starfleet. Starfleet pulled her a couple of punches with the academy, but with her records, they let her only take 2 years of classes, and graduated as an Ensign. From there, She joined the Enterprise under the command of Jean Luc Picard, and started off as a medical officer, but ended up as an Assistant Chief Medical Officer a year later. After that 5 year period had ended, she went on to join the USS Espoir under the command of April Rogers as a Chief Medical Officer until the ship had an untimely demise. She really has not thought of marriage or anything of the sort, but maybe one day she will. Right now, it is just her and her cat, Sugar.
