History
Ishara grew up on a desert planet known as Arrakis, Until the age of 15 she really didn't have any ideas what she wanted to be, she had always loved flying shuttlecrafts, and she had always had this one special sword but she could never figure out where she got it, and her parents where unwilling to answer her questions, they really wanted her to pack it away forever, but after finding a book in the archives she developed a love for them.
At the age of 14 is when she first started learning to use it, and her parents didn't mind very much because combat training was about the only time she exercised, she had always been fascinated by the stars and the many worlds beyond them, though she loved her home planet, at the age of 18 she decided to enlist in Starfleet, at first she thought she would be a pilot because she liked flying and she was quite good at it. Her mother seemed disappointed that she was leaving, but accepted it. Before leaving the planet, Ishara acquired a Crysknife from a desert merchant, a knife made from the crystal teeth of an Arrakis sand worm, a knife sacred to her people. Her parents had always kept her from learning about the ways of the desert dwellers.
When she arrived at the academy she discovered that Piloting was not for her, she loved flying the smaller ships like shuttles and she was one of the best, but she could never get the hang of the larger ships, her holosimulations usually ended with the ship breaking apart. but she did discover that she liked the field of medicine, her weapons training gave her a steady hand, and she found that she learnt quickly, plus as an added bonus (that shed never admit to her teachers) it also helped her combat training.
In her 3rd year at the academy she met a strange man, he was a Fremen just like her, he was there to act as a guest speaker at the academy's engineering department, something about holograms. But Ishara wasn't in those courses and talked to him outside the hallway, they became friends slowly. From then on every so often when he visited for lectures while his ship was under construction. He taught her a little about Engineering, a bit more on swordsmanship, taught her that its best to keep two knifes in your boot, and how to throw then accurately in an emergency. And he even gave her his training programs using a special level system he created, along with a couple small programs to help her if she got in trouble. with the words "These programs have helped me a lot, use them well. and I would suggest you clear it with the Capt. or chief engineer of your ship, and when you leave take them out. that's something I forgot to do" on there last meeting as a Cadet he had a surprised for her, a second Crysknife with a small mouse symbol on it. he suggested that she carry two of them.
In her forth and final year at the academy Ishara started to remember things, until that year she was simply too busy with her studies and personnel training to go on the survival mission, it was on this planet whale she was separated from the rest of her group that she ran into a crashed Harkonnen ship, something about the Harkonnen symbol stirred things up, she managed to get through the rest of the survival training without problems.
Through the rest of that year Ishara had problems, dreams that she could never remember, yet scared her. and her fuse grew very short, she became more viscous in her holodeck training, refusing to keep the safeties on and fighting opponents well past her level, she was reported numerous times for her activities.
It was only with the help of experimental medication, many many doctors and counsellors and a few incidents that she would rather forget, that she remembered a past that her own mind had blocked from her memories.
As it turns out when Ishara was a small girl she lived in a village who's name she long forgotten. when she was only 8 years old she watched as Harkonnens slaughtered the village leaving only her. They hunted her down and when they caught her they would beat her until she could stand no more often using a combination of Klingon pain sticks and clubs, then giving her to a field doc who would somewhat heal her they would release her to hunt down again. This went on for weeks before Ishara finally escaped using her father’s sword as protection and riding on the back of a large sandworm. Freed from the Harkonnens Ishara was sent to live with some relatives in one of the cities, witch is the point of her past she remembered. Her mind blocked off her memories of the village and the entire Harkonnen.
Her breakdown and recovery caused her to miss almost a full year, forcing her to repeat it, from then Ishara was slowly able to come to terms with her past, and understand why she is so attached to that sword she's had since childhood.

Misc: Her parents (relatives, Ish doesn't recall much about her real parents) were not really traditionalists but they did want to instil a taste of real stuff. She grew up on alternating between Real food and replicator food.
Ishara hates when people call her by her last name. Those that do tend to regret it when she gives them a bone chilling stare that she learned off an old friend.
With the luck of Jupiter she can accomplish great things, and the stubbornness of mars, its not very wise to mess with her. and its very hard to convince her that she's wrong.
Still haunted by dreams and memories, will require more time to completely deal with her past.
Useless Info: A Crysknife is sacred to the Fremen people, created from the worms her people once feared as Gods (now they just fear)it is custom that no one but a true Fremen own one, or see one. non Fremen that see a Crysknife must either be killed or cleansed in a ritual similar to most Klingon rituals.
Fremen Blood clots quickly, this is due to a moisture preserving evolution.
Ishara eats a lot of items with a certain spice known as Melange, a flavour found only on Arrakis (but easily replaceable, not that anyone but Fremen really like the taste) she eats it because it reminds her of home, and the desert she loves so much.
Has a pet cat named mouse after her friend Capt. Paul Muad'Dib.
