History Born into the House Eveinn with an ancient lineage and a strong attachment to tradition, young Lhuravahii dreamed of joining the Imperial Fleet and one day commanding a ship of her own. As soon as she came of age, Lura joined the military and served the manditory 2 years of service. It was the height of the Dominion War and new recruits like her were assigned to menial tasks to free veteran soldiers to fight on the front lines. Lura learned a hard lesson: advancement up the ranks did not go to the deserving but came from money, power, and connections, of which she had little. And worse yet was the stifling control of the Tal Shiar that had everyone living in a climate of fear. Disillusioned with the corruption and loss of honor in today's Empire, Lura made a brash decision: if she could not find her future inside the Empire she would look for it with out. For a brief moment after the Peace Treaty signed on Bajor, Starfleet offered an exchange program and Lura seized it. To her family's outrage, she joined the ranks of a long hated enemy. To shield her family from unintended consequences of what she had done, she declared hrrau'havran, an ancient tradition of going on pilgramage. A Seeker would divorce themselves from all in their life including family to go in search of some private goal. The USS T'Kumbra, patrolling the Romulan Neutral Zone, was sent to convey Lura to Starfleet Academy. Shortly afterwards they received a distress signal from a Romulan Personal Transport under attack by Jem'Hadar Dead-Enders. A young teen, Journlk, was the only survivor, his father, a Governor of an Outer World, was killed. Journlk asked for asylum, having been declared traitors by the Tal Shiar after his father had dared to challenge them. After receiving a brief message from family - which her file says she has none - Lura was caught by T'Kumbra's XO trying to kill Journlk because he was a traitor to the Empire. She was thrown into the brig for attempted homicide, but Captain Sarhk, after a private conversation with her, convinced Starfleet Command that this was a cultural misunderstanding and got the charges knocked down to assault & battery for which she served 30 days. To prevent any further misunderstanding and since Captain Sardk had established a rapport with Lura, it was decided that she would serve her Cadet training aboard the USS T'Kumbra and she was given the rank of acting Ensign. Her service record has since then been above reproach and so when she officially graduated from the Academy, Captain Sardk wrote a letter of recommendation to offset the black mark on her record. Lura was then assigned to the USS Ataturk under the command of Captain Kallstrom where she steadily climbed the ranks. But Captain Kallstrom lost a dear friend to a Romulan attack and try as he might he could not bring himself to trust Lura and knew that he could not accept her as his Chief of Security, so he arranged for her to be transferred. At Starbase 47, she escorted 2 captive Nausicaans to T'Plana Hath where she would take over as Chief of Tactical/Security. There she served under Fleet Captain Greener until his retirement and then Fleet Captain Braak. During negotiations with the Gorn Delegation, Lura was captured and interrogated by the Breen who were trying to undermine the treaty talks. In 2382, Sardk, who was now a Fleet Captain and an Operations Supervisor for Starfleet Intel, tapped her for a special mission. Intel had intercepted a Romulan courier on her way to a Klingon Faction secretly working to uncover an deadly ancient weapon. Lura was recruited to replace the courier and discover their plans. She worked her way onto a rebel Romulan ship where she crosses paths with RAdm. Braak also investigating the Faction. Rescued and taken aboard the USS Adventure, they destroyed the Doomsday Machines in a pitch battle. Returning to TPH, Lura is promoted to Lt. Commander and made Chief of Intel.
